Stuart, you could be right. If you are then I should give up yoga now. I think it more likely that the matter is not as black and white as you think, which explains why there is no clear guidance in the writings.

I must admit that you have sparked a seed in my mind which is this; I do yoga which takes me away from Bahai which I agree is precious time. So what about when I watch TV, talk about the news, do exercise, pursue a hobby, art or literature ? I can dress those activities up in some higher garb all I like, but ultimately I do them because I WANT to do them or ENJOY doing them. I think maybe God doesn't want ANY of these things in our lives, because they are ALL a distraction from immersing ourselves in the Bahai faith.
That sort of life seems to lack balance to most of us but it is probably the key to life at it's very BEST.
What do you think ?
