This is a pathetic or apologetic answer to an extremely important issue. Does it not make you as uncomfortable as it does myself?

Over and over again, when an issue splits our community, or is in confusion within the community, or unclear, we receive non-answers such as the one above.

I believe that I, like many others, maintain our Faith independent of UHJ regulations and edicts. We look straight to the Words of Baha'u'llah and Abdul-Baha and tend to shrug off much of the administrative aspects of Baha'i as irrelevant.
