Just want to add some brief comments here...

One cannot recognize a Manifestation of God based on books written about Him. Indeed, there have been books written against Baha'u'llah, claiming many things. People have even become disenchanted with the Baha'i Faith because of reading certain things mentioned by people who were either ignorant of the truth or malicious.

Therefore these books cannot be used when asking ourselves, 'Is Baha'u'llah a Manifestation of God'? As Christ Himself says: "Ye shall know them by their fruits." I believe this is how any Manifestation should be 'proven', although this isn't a good word to use... it's all about the path of a true seeker...

in case you didn't know, I believe Shoghi Effendi has written something of the station of Joseph Smith (no doubt u know since this question was posed)...

i wish i could write more, but time is not a commodity i have right now...

hopefully someone else can add more to this...
