Why are the Ringstone Symbol stars so funky looking?

I mean, they look different from normal five-pointed stars. Kind of lopsided, with the "arms" too fat and the "legs" too thin, if you see what I mean. Why is that?

I was wondering why they aren't perfectly even equilatoral pentacles too.

"New guy resurrecting old post" alert!

:-)

Hi Jan

The two stars on the ringstone symbol represent the twin Manifestations, the Bab and Baha'u'llah, and are shaped to signify the human temple or human body. You were very close in your question to the answer!

The symbol is not a five pointed star.
Justice and equity are twin Guardians that watch over men. From them are revealed such blessed and perspicuous words as are the cause of the well-being of the world and the protection of the nations.

There are two stars, one on each side of the central symbol. We are talking about the ringstone symbol aren't we?

Read the first post..look up the ringstone symbol. You'll see what we mean.

Yes, the ringstone symbol is flanked by two five-pointed stars:

In that example the stars are symmetric. However, as gladtidings noted, they often are drawn lopsided as if to represent a human body. Here's some brief discussion of this shape: http://bahai-library.com/?file=wilmette ... al_outline

The symbol itself it not a five-ponted star.
