Why do documents use the Christian Calendar?

Postby Keyvan » Thu Feb 23, 2006 12:22 am

i can understand why the administration currently, for convenience purposes we use the Christian dates and calendar, and not the Baha'i one. but are there any writings or letters that refer to this issue?

Directives From the Guardian Page 12

33: CALENDAR (BAHÁ'Í)

1 "It is advisable to use both the Bahá'í dates, according to the Bahá'í Calendar, and the usual Gregorian dates as well. The friends at present are free to do as they please."

When a country converts to a Baháí State, they could freely use this sytem.

As I know they use both Bahá'í and Gregorian and know you that Israel use lunar Judaic calendar.

The House can’t completely observe Bahá’í Calendar, or they would change the rest day to Istiqlál (Friday); but we have to obey Government laws.
