Tablet of Ahmad in Arabic

Postby eihana9 » Sat Mar 28, 2015 2:43 am

Greetings friends :) I'm not sure if this is the right place to make such a request, but can anyone write:

"Be thou as a flame of fire to My enemies and a river of life eternal to My loved ones" and "And be thou so steadfast in My love that thy heart shall not waver" in Arabic script?

If you could attach a photo or even type it out in a response (not with English characters, I don't know what the traditional Arabic writing is called sorry!), I would be most grateful!

Sorry not to be of help with your request, but I wanted to quickly add for the sake of visitors here, that that verse is not to be interpreted literally!

"The words "Be thou as a flame of fire to My enemies and a river of life eternal to My loved ones" should not be taken in their literal sense. Baha'u'llah's advice is that again we should flee from the enemies of God, and instead seek the fellowship of His lovers."

I love this! Thank you :) "be as a cleansing flame, not a vengeful and violent forest fire" was what I was taught as a child. My memory is tad hazy, but I do remember a link to the Bible ("flame of fire"). Anyone care to add?

The Arabic script as you requested is :

كن كَشُعلَةِ اَلنّار لاَعدائی وَ كَوثَرِ البَقاءِ لاحِبّائي

"Be thou as a flame of fire to My enemies and a river of life eternal to My loved ones"

كن مُستَقيماً في حُبّي بِحَيثُ لَن يُحَوَّلَ قَلبُك

And be thou so steadfast in My love that thy heart shall not waver"

--just another thought from the Long Obligatory prayer that perhaps helps clarify "flame of fire"--

"...to make of my prayer a fire that will burn away the veils which have shut me out from Thy beauty..."

enemies would have veils, too...
