Is everything working?

Hi all

I upgraded the forum and the template, and inevitably, things got messed up. I think they're all fixed now.

If you encounter any problems, either post here or -- if you can't login or register -- email jonahwinters(at)gmail.com

Please see my PDF test page and let me know kind of computer/device you have and what worked best. I'm testing -- for now -- two methods. In the 1990s I used just the <embed> tag. I welcome third-party involvement. I was about to say "third-party arbitration," but I don't think there's anything to arbitrate. I have deleted none of the posts by yourself, BW, or Brett, so the entire history of the discussions is available for all to see. Unless you have some kind of immediate p...

Partly because I do not believe that "Baha'is [are] against individuality and freedom of thought", but mostly because I've locked enough threads today, I'm leaving this one open for now. Be nice, please. Feel free to stick to the question asked, re freedom of thought in the Baha'i teachings. No resp...

Jonah, have you modified your statement that this site is "independent" No, Eric, the site is under no-one's control but my own. Brett, Baha'i Warrior, and Zazaban have kindly agreed to help delete spam on this forum, and Brett works tirelessly behind the scenes to help with the programming, but ot...

Thank you to Richard for starting this very interesting discussion. It seems to me that this thread has run its course, and has veered into off-topic personal grievances. I'll lock it now. As Baha'i Warrior noted, we are always willing to allow people to express offensive viewpoints on this forum, i...

It seems to me that this thread has been "hijacked" (the slang term online for when someone/s with an agenda changes the topic of a discussion for their own purposes). Begging everyone's forgiveness, I'm going to lock it now. Further discussion of the "membership rolls" is welcome, just start a new ...

Thanks, BW Unfortunately it's not so easy to just ban images. I tried a module last year that would disallow HTML for anyone not registered, but it didn't work and permanently messed up the HTML for some users (even after restoring the original files). I could turn off HTML entirely, but I use it fo...

Dear Majnun, Earlier this year Brett and I emailed you, privately, about keeping a civil tone on this board. A couple days ago he warned you publicly, and you responded publicly, so my response will also be public. I'm placing your account on a 1-week temporary suspension. Please email or pm me if y...

Off-topic. Baha'i Warrior wrote: I am a new mod I'd like to thank BW for his participation, and I'll make it official: I asked BW to be our fourth spam-moderator (after Brett, Zazaban, and myself). BW has been active on this board for many months and has consistently given many insightful responses ...
