Re: In search of a quote

This looks like a confusion on the secretary's part: [ Sorry Sen, but letter's written on behalf of the Guardian are authoritative and they don't go out without his reviewing them. Keith Ransom Kehler and Hussein Rabbani were also publishing their theocratic ideas around that time. It was in the ai...

Re: In search of a quote

On that note, isn't there a letter from the House stating that there's nothing in the Writings which would preclude a potential merging of the two institutions? Or have I dreamed up this one too? I understand what you're saying, Sen, just want to know if this quote's lying around anywhere. De...

Re: In search of a quote

I think the word ‘consummation’ gives a clue as to what you are remembering.

Except that word 'cosummation' isn't in the letter written on behalf of the Guardian. The letter itself says the institutions will be *merged.*

Re: In search of a quote

Evening friends, I was curious if anyone knows of the exact quote and source regarding the House of Justice and the International Court of Arbitration's (perhaps referred to as the Supreme Tribunal) eventual consummation into one institution? I hope this isn't a figment of my imagination! Ad...

Re: Questions on a variety of things

Dear Alex, The fullest discussion of the questions you raise regarding a future Baha'i polity can be found in a letter written to Sen McGlinn by the Universal House of Justice more than a decade ago. You can find it here: http://bahai-library.com/uhj/theocracy.html Keep in mind, however, that this i...

Re: Who Claimed to be the Mahdi?

Hi, Are you the same Ibn Abu Talib who posts on the Theology Web? Generally speaking we would consider the Bab, not Baha'u'llah the Mahdi. However, Baha'is believe that ultimately every Manifestation is in some sense the 'return' of the previous ones. Likewise prophecies can often be applied to more...

Re: 95-day engagement rule also applies to half-persians?

Note the references to following this law as a "matter of conscience" and as "circumstances permit." It sounds to me like while they want Persians in the West to follow this law it is not enforced by the institutions.

Re: Jamshed Maani?

Thats sad actually that he'd be put into a mental institution and die there. If thats true, then I'd assume the Islamic Republic did that as a heresy sentencing but he wasn't a danger to himself or others. I mean the guy needed help, but not like that and NOT by them. I'm pretty sure this happened ...

Re: Jamshed Maani?

Hi, Actually this person's organization has published small booklets in Urdu Language and I saw them in the library of my one Ahmadi Intellectual. I was also told that this person converted more than 10,000 Indonesians to Bahai Faith before he claimed to be the next Manifestation of God. Regards, A...

Re: Jamshed Maani?

Dear Bahai Friends, I have come to know about Jamshed Maani who was a dynamic Bahai Missionary to Indonesia and later claimed to be another menifestation of God. His religion is AL-INSAAN. Is there any Bahai member here having knowledge about this person? Plz share. Regards, Ahsan Yeah, he died in ...
