One of the issues I've struggled with, for example, is how to relate to upset Baha'is.

When I first became a Baha'i, I met many young and new Baha'is who were very upset over one thing or another about the Faith or with each other. I had to learn detachment and humility and to let by-gones be by-gones. Most of those who carried on in a this way soon fell away like falling-stars burning themselves out. Others burned their egos away and remained fine Baha'is. Either way, the Faith remained stronger than before. This purifying process is mentioned in the Writings.

I remind myself of the phrase from Baha'u'llah's Writings where He advises that we should "contend with no one...". That pretty much sets my mind and heart at ease and brings me the detachment I need to carry on as a believer, full of questions, with voice and thoughts that remain free of dissent.
