Darrick Evenson posted a quote:

"The inhabitants of a country like Africa are all as wandering
savages and wild animals. They lack intelligence and knowledge; all are uncivilized; not one civilized and wise man is to be found
among them." (Tablets of 'Abdu'l-Baha, p.576)

If indeed Abdu'l stated this, then he was utterly wrong. The world is violent, this element is everywhere. Nature itself is violent. However, indigounous people are far less violent than the white colonists who massacured whole peoples. Just a few months ago this happened again in the middle east!!!

What indiginous people do have is a unity with nature that urbanized peoples have lost. They are close to the natural world, wich has much to teach them, and indeed they are wise. They have much education, especially spiritual. Urbanized men, especially white, have a habit of calling other peoples "barbarians" if they don't wear clothes or act in a way that is familiar. This gives them justification to destroy cultures just because they do not recognise them as culture. Truely pathetic. I pray that Abdu'l did not fall into this aswell.
