Yes, i agree wholeheartedly with your point about it being OUR understanding of this law. I have no doubt that the answer to this question will be a reasonable and satisfactory explanation and it is just my (our) current understanding that sayes that there was an "apparent" violation of this law (as you put it).

I also recognise your point no. 2, God does indeed to whatsoever he willth.
