Canada, Quebec – Word was received on Wednesday of the passing of
Mrs. Audrey Robarts, Knight of Bahá'u’lláh* to Bechuanaland
[now Botswana] and wife of late Hand of the Cause of God John Robarts.
Mrs. Robarts died on August 22nd in Rawdon, Quebec. She was 95 years of age.
Tributes have been paid to her by the National Spiritual Assemblies
of both Canada and South Africa, and she is described at the Web site of
The Bahá'í Native Circle of Ontario as “one of Canada’s most
treasured souls.” The notice goes on to say that she “had a great
love for the peoples of Africa and spent many years there.”
