You should shut down the new religion you founded if you believe the truths of the Baha'i writings. That you have been inspired to recognize the Baha'i Faith is wonderful! Now you need to promote those teachings as given by Baha'u'llah and not create a new religion based on those scriptures.

I find the freedom many Baha'is take with their memory, publicly, on line and unsupported is frustrating. It seems to me if we are saying things in public we should do it with book in hand and give the reference. Far to much "hear-say" is happening in the unregulated world online.

Read 8 Other Books for every Baha'i Book

A Baha'i has said " I believe I remember that Shoghi Effendi said that we are to read 8 other books for every Baha'i book?" Has anyone seen this from Shoghi Effendi? What book, compilation, letter or text? I really would like to see that line in context! OR is this balderdash? :-|

"...unless the person came with a signature of 'Abdu'l-Baha's approval". I would have thought references from 3 different LSAs would fulfill that condition while one awaits a material card. I became a Baha'i about 1970 or 71. We were not issued ID cards after signing the declaration card. ...

My point was Why would anyone need to "pose as a Baha'i" to benefit from "our reputation for hospitality and helpfulness"! It should be there for all. Paris Talks does make that very clear, "In this way,even if what you first suspected should be true,still go out of your way...
